A wig is not a single-season clothing item, but a product that can last for years with proper care. There is no exact figure like "shelf life — N months": it all depends on how you wear the product and how you care for it.
However, there are general recommendations that are guaranteed to help preserve the original appearance, beauty, and shape of your wig for the longest possible time. In this article, we have gathered the main care rules, following which you will significantly extend the lifespan of your product.
CARE RULES
On a special stand — it keeps the product's shape and prevents the base from deforming or bending.
With a wide-tooth comb with rounded tips. A regular brush or fine-tooth comb can damage the base or pull out the fibers.
Only special products for synthetics — regular shampoo is not suitable here.
Cosmetics matching the hair structure, dyeing — no more than once every 4–6 months.
Without washing for a long time — an odor appears. Too often — accelerates wear and tear. Rely on the condition of the product, not on a schedule.
Synthetics do not like high temperatures. Natural hair — from the lowest temperature and higher as needed.
