The dapper Europeans often caused envy  by flaunting in sheepskin coats and fur coats, but without headgear.  Of course, their mild winter allows to demonstrate such hardiness, but with  our severe somehow want to cover ears from frost and wind. However, hats - a capricious thing: to whom any to face, and who will not pick up. And sometimes we want to dress up in the cold a la Europe. Only at the same time not to turn blue from the cold. Here to help fashionistas and comes to the aid of an ancient invention of mankind - wig.

ANCIENT ROMAN WOMEN WORE THE HAIR OF BARBARIANS

Pastichernye products (wigs) exactly as old as the very concept of luxury. Back in ancient Rome, wigs made from the light hair of captured barbarians were especially valued, and local fashionistas preferred gold plating as coloring. Since then, artificial hair then were in unthinkable favor, as in France in the 18th century, then fell into disfavor, as in the nineteenth century, when women preferred suddenly uncomplicated hairstyles.

Wigs returned in the 60s of the twentieth century. The Soviet Union was no exception: domestic films "Diamond Hand" and "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession" captured very garish copies of these products of the time. And in the raging 90's "caps of artificial hair" found the function of self-expression: green, purple, white wigs, born with the light hand of underground fashion designers, rapidly burst onto the streets of metropolitan areas. Wigs are still relevant today: the culture of wearing them is instilled by our idols - Kirkorov, Pugacheva, Allegrova.

Some to hide baldness, some to change their image, and some to keep warm.

Masters-pastigers have mainly two groups of clients: those who for some reason partially or completely lost their hair, and people who want to change their appearance. The former can resort either to "a full hat,"that is, a product covering the entire head, or to hair integration. This latter achievement of the masters of pasticraft is a net in which the hair is woven. It is placed on the head, and the hair is pulled through the meshes and mixed with the false hair, giving the hairstyle a natural look and density. Owners of small bald patches often make do with a local hair overlay - a mini wig.

For a change of image are suitable for a variety of different types of pastigernyh products - depending on the degree of desired "novelty of the image", but eager to walk around in the cold without a headdress suitable only full-fledged wigs.

Judging by the amount of goods sold, the most popular among our fashionistas are hairpieces (to buy a strand of hairpieces can be 60 - 300 rubles). However, in terms of profitability in first place are exactly wigs, the price of which ranges from 15 dollars in the markets to 1.5 thousand "green" in the salon and three thousand in the workshop. More than half of the clients of expensive salons-shops - are representatives of creative professions: actors, TV presenters, DJs, pop stars and others, and men among them are not less than women.

FOR A WIG "FOR THE STREET" IT IS BETTER NOT TO OVERPAY

A ready-made wig may well replace the headgear that protects from the cold. Such products are widely available, easy and inexpensive: having paid in the market 600 rubles for "hair cap" in a few months you can change it for a new one. But they also have significant disadvantages. Ready-made wigs are made by machine, in-line method and are strands of hair, fixed in rows at the base. And this can clearly be seen if on a windy day the strands fail to disintegrate. In addition, standard wigs can scratch the head, so when buying them should be carefully selected not only on the principle "to be beautiful", but also "to be comfortable".

The most expensive wigs are made to order - by hand, taking into account the wishes and peculiarities of the client's appearance. For the greatest naturalness of the wig, the master has to individually attach each of the 100,000 hairs. This work can take several months.

If you have chosen not a full wig, but integration of hair, it is likely that such a hairpiece will have to be made to order, so that it most harmoniously blends with your natural hair.

BETWEEN NATURALNESS AND PRACTICALITY

Of course, "a natural" wig looks better. In addition, only he can change the color by dyeing the hair. But at the same time, they oxidize from the environment and require periodic restoration. Women who prefer a haircut to the shoulders, experts recommend natural hair - they are less irritating to the skin, better arranged in a hairstyle. In addition, such wigs are much more durable: with good care, they will last three to four years, while artificial - at most a year.

At the same time, modern synthetic materials are much more comfortable and practical than those used in the past. And wigs made of them look exactly like natural ones. Most of the hair substitutes are now made of the latest acrylic fiber - kanekalen. Its strands do not sag after washing and in wet weather, do not require special care, well succumb to styling and curling. The advantage of kanekalen over human hair is that it tangles less and dries quickly. Synthetic fibers are lighter than natural fibers, which can lighten a massive hairstyle by 100 grams.

A WIG IS NOT A HAT - YOU CAN'T WASH IT IN A BASIN

If there are no special salons in town where your "hair cap" can be washed, combed, styled, colored and even cut, or these services are too expensive for you, you will have to take care of it yourself.

To do this, you need to remember the following rules.

First, you should not sleep in a wig.

Secondly, it should be folded carefully so that no creases are formed, and better to put it on a special stand, which allows you to keep the shape of the hairstyle.

Thirdly, natural "other people's" or artificial hair is dirty in the same way as your own, but they need to properly wash.

Once every two to three weeks shampooed wig should be rinsed under cold water.

It is important to remember that an artificial hair wig should not be blow-dried.  and only after the hair in the wig is dry can it be combed.
